Sunroof / Moonroof Windguard: Service and Repair

54 13 090 Removing And Installing/Replacing Wind Deflector







Necessary preliminary work:
- Open slide/tilt sunroof







NOTE: Shown removed here for purposes of clarity.

Release screws (1) on left and right.
Tightening torque 54 12 09AZ.







Insert plastic wedge between outer skin panel and wind deflector.
Unclip retaining lugs (1) with plastic wedge.

Installation note:
Before clipping in, correctly place welt on guide rail.
Retaining lugs must audibly snap into place.







Tilt wind deflector into vertical position and remove from pivots.

Installation note:
Make sure wind deflector is correctly seated in pivots.







Installation note:
Reposition spring in direction of arrow.







Installation note:
Keep wind deflector pressed in direction of arrow and install plastic wedges.
