SITUATION
Revised sun visor repair instructions
CAUSE
ISTA Repair Instructions "5116080 - Removing and installing or replacing left or right sun visor and holder" are incomplete.
PROCEDURE
The following steps must be followed if you are removing or replacing a sun visor.
1. This picture shows the driver's side sun visor and the two roof supports.
2. Use caution when removing the cover caps. Use special tool 64 1 020 to prevent scratches or damage.
3. This close-up picture shows the right side roof support. Unhook the sun visor from the support and pry open the cover cap to expose the retaining screw, and then remove the screw.
4. This close-up picture shows the left side roof support. Rotate the sun visor to gain access to the most forward half of the cover cap and pry off and then remove the screws.
