51 16 216 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Rear (Lower) Storage Compartment
When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).
NOTE: Retaining tabs (1) will be loosened during the next work step.
Unclip the rear lower storage compartment (3) at top (2).
Carefully fold the rear lower storage compartment (2) back until a screwdriver
can be inserted between the retaining tab (1) and housing wall (3).
Carefully lever to unlatch the retaining tabs (1) toward the inside.
If necessary, unlock existing plug connections and disconnect.
Detach bottom rear of storage compartment (3).
Installation note:
Retaining tabs (1) and lugs on the entire periphery (3) at the bottom rear of storage compartment (2) must neither be missing nor damaged.
