51 16 206 Removing And Installing/Replacing Centre Armrest

Special tools required:







When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).







Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove centre armrest storage compartment
- Remove rear (lower) storage compartment







Release lower screws (1) from top rear of storage compartment (2).







Fold up centre armrest if necessary (1).
Release upper screw (2) from upper rear shelf.







Using special tool 00 9 325 lever out storage compartment at top rear (1) and pull back to detach.







Undo screws (2) on lower support frame of centre armrest (1).
Tightening torque 51 16 4AZ.







Undo screws (3) on support frame (4) of centre armrest (2).
Swivel the support frame (4) to the lower inside until the support frame (4) and centre armrest (2) can be fed out toward the back from the centre console (1).

Installation note:
- Reinstall support frame (4) correctly in the stops (arrows) of the centre console (1).
- Check folding function of centre armrest (2) after bolting down the support frame (4).
