51 16 166 Replacing centre console

Special tools required:







When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove centre console.







Unclip drinks holder (1) at retaining clips (2) and retaining hooks (3).







Unlock plug connection (1) and remove drinks holder.







Release lower screws (1) from top rear of storage compartment (2).







Fold up centre armrest if necessary (1).
Release upper screw (2) from upper rear shelf.







Using special tool 00 9 325 lever out storage compartment at top rear (1) and pull back to detach.







Undo screws (3) on support frame (4) of centre armrest (2).
Pivot the lower support frame (4) toward the inside until the support frame (4) can be fed out including centre armrest (2) toward the back from the centre console (1).

Installation note:
Reinstall support frame (4) correctly in centre console (1).
Check folding function of centre armrest (2) after bolting down the support frame (4).







With comfort access version only:
Undo screw (2) of interior aerial (1).
Remove interior aerial (1).
