51 24 105 Removing And Installing/Replacing Tailgate Lock







Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove top cover on tail panel







Unlock plug connection (4) and disconnect.
Unfasten screws (2).
Tightening torque 51 24 1AZ.

Version with Automatic Soft Close system only:
- Unclip cover of Bowden cable (3) from tailgate lock counter support (1), then feed nipple of Bowden cable (3) out of tailgate lock intake (1).
- Unlock and disconnect Soft Close drive plug connection (4).

Feed out tailgate lock (1).







Installation note:
Perform a function check of tailgate lock with the tailgate open.
Concluding tasks:
Adjust tailgate catch.
