Turbo Boost Sensor: Service and Repair

13 62 029 - Replacing suction pressure sensor on air intake manifold (S65)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit
- Switch off ignition
- Remove intake air manifold Service and Repair
- Remove secondary-air pump Service and Repair
- Release cable duct for engine wiring harness; for information, refer to Removing engine wiring harness 12 51 001 Replacing Wiring Harness Section for Engine
- Remove idle actuator suction hose

Note:
The installation location for the intake manifold pressure sensor is on the idle air duct at cylinder no. 8.





Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Release screws and pull suction pressure sensor (2) out of intake air housing.
Tightening torque 13 41 1AZ 13 41 Pressure Sensors (S65).






Installation:
Check sealing ring for damage, replace if necessary.
When installing, coat sealing ring with suitable antiseize agent.





Note:
Assemble engine.
Check stored fault messages.
Now clear the fault memory.
