13 62 605 - Replacing pulse generator on right exhaust camshaft (S65)

(cylinder bank 1 to 4)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
- Switch off ignition
- Release and raise coolant expansion tank. Do not kink hoses.
- Remove right ignition coil cover





Release plug connector (1) and pull off.
Release screw.
Remove pulse generator (2).

Installation Note:
Aluminium screws must always be replaced.
Replace sealing ring and coat with antiseize agent.
Tightening torque, 13 62 5AZ Mechanical Specifications





Note:
Now clear the fault memory.
