Trunk / Liftgate Latch: Service and Repair

51 24 100 - Removing and installing/replacing rear lid lock





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove panel for rear lid





Left side:
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Disconnect plug connection (2) on rear lid lock (4).
Release screws (3).
Tightening torque 51 24 1AZ 51 24 Rear Lid Locks.





Right side:
Disconnect plug connection (1) on rear lid lock (3).
Disconnect plug connections (2).
Release screws (4) and fold rear lid lock down (3) slightly.
Tightening torque 51 24 1AZ 51 24 Rear Lid Locks.





Unclip holder (1) with screwdriver (2).
Unhook Bowden cable (4) from lever (3).
Remove rear lid lock (5).
