Fault description
Cold Start Idle Air Control System RPM Higher Than
Expected (Bank 1)

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
RPM too high by 250 rpm
(K_LLR_DIAG_CSS_N_ZU_GROSS) and idle controller at
lower travel stop for 9 sec. (K_LLR_DIAG_T)
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
none

Condition for fault memory entry
9 sec.

Action in service
1. Check for leaks between idle actuator and engine block,
replace gasket as indicated
2. Check individual throttle valves for opening gap

Fault effect and breakdown warning
No closed-loop idle control
MIL after engine runs 2x
