- 51 2 240 51 2 240 Hood/Bonnet Stay (2 x)

Engine hood/bonnet must be held by a second person helping.

Note:
The operation is described on the left side; proceed in the same way for the right side.





Unlock retaining clip (1).

Unclip gas strut (2) in direction of arrow from ball stud (3).

Unlock retaining clip (4).

Remove resetter (5) on hinge at top.





Pull off top section (1) of gas spring strut (2) towards top.





Push special tool 51 2 240 51 2 240 Hood/Bonnet Stay (2 x) over gas strut (1).

Clip ball socket of special tool 51 2 240 51 2 240 Hood/Bonnet Stay (2 x) onto ball stud (2).
