Knocking Noise from Rear Suspension

MODEL
F10 with Vertical Dynamics Control (VDC) produced up to 1/10/11

SITUATION

The customer may report a cracking or banging noise from the rear of the vehicle while driving over rough roads, speed bumps or changes in the road surface.

CAUSE

Internal valve blockage in the rear shock

CORRECTION

Replace both rear shocks. Refer to Repair Instruction 37 12 092.
