32 41 440 Replacing intake pipe from oil reservoir to vane pump





Warning!
Danger of poisoning if oil is ingested/absorbed through the skin!
Risk of injury if oil comes into contact with eyes and skin!

Important!
Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.
Close off pipe connections with seal plugs.





Recycling:
Catch and dispose of hydraulic fluid in a suitable collecting vessel.

Necessary preliminary tasks:





^ Draw off and dispose of hydraulic fluid from fluid reservoir
^ Remove front underbody protection
^ Remove left rear charge air duct / pressure pipe





Detach oil reservoir (2) from console / body.

Unfasten hose clip (1).

Detach intake pipe from fluid reservoir.

Installation note:
Marks on fluid reservoir and intake pipe must match up.

Replace hose clamp.





Expose intake pipe as far as connection to power steering pump.

Release hose clamp (1) and detach suction line from power steering pump.





Installation note:
Replace hose clamp.

Make sure hydraulic lines are laid without tension and with sufficient distance to adjoining components.

Align suction line by way of marking (2) to power steering pump connection marking.





After installation:
^ Carry out initial DYNAMIC DRIVE operation.
^ Check line connections for leaks
