Rear Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

51 37 000 Removing And Installing / Replacing Complete Rear Left Or Right Power Window Regulator







Special tools required:
- 51 0 400
- 51 3 300







WARNING:
- Danger of injury.
- Carry out work on the power window regulator only when the power window motor is de-energized.







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear sound insulation
- In case of roller sunblind special equipment if applicable:
Remove roller sunblind







Loosen nut (1) with special tool 51 3 300.
Pull window guide out of window regulator.
Tightening torque 51 35 3AZ.







Loosen nut (2) with special tool 51 0 400.
Tightening torque 51 35 6AZ.







Open front door and remove dummy plug. Loosen nut (1) with special tool 51 3 300.
Tightening torque 51 35 4AZ.
Open rear door and remove dummy plug. Loosen nut (1) with special tool 51 3 300.
Tightening torque 51 35 4AZ.







Slacken nut (1).
Tightening torque 51 35 7AZ.
Release screws (3).
Tightening torque 51 35 8AZ.
Release screw (2).
Tightening torque 51 35 9AZ.
Feed out power window regulator (4).







Final work operations:
- Pat attention to instructions concerning initialisation of the power window regulator

Replacement:
Remove flat motor for power window regulator.
