Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

51 33 000 Removing And Installing / Replacing Power Window Regulator In Left Or Right Front Door







Special tools required:
- 51 0 400
- 51 3 300







WARNING:
- Danger of injury.
- Carry out work on the power window regulator only when the power window motor is de-energized.







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove front door window glass







Release nut (1) with special tool 51 0 400.
Tightening torque 51 33 6AZ.







Remove blanking plug. Loosen nut (3) with special tool 51 3 300.
Remove rear section of power window unit.
Tightening torque 51 33 4AZ.







Installation note:
Clip power window cable guide (2) into clip (1).







Peel back film (1) and release nuts below it.
Unscrew nuts (2).
Tightening torque 51 33 3AZ.
Unscrew nut (3).
Tightening torque 51 33 2AZ.
Completely remove power window unit (4).

Installation note:
Replace defective film (1) if necessary.







Finishing tasks:
- Observe notes on initialising power window regulator

Replacement:
Remove flat motor for power window unit.
