51 32 ... Adjusting Vertical Dimension Of Front Left Or Right Side Window







Special tools required:
- 51 0 342
- 51 0 400







Precondition:
- Vehicle must be standing on its wheels on a level floor
- Front door correctly adjusted to fit

IMPORTANT: When closing, the door window glass must not jam on the trim strip in any area of the window (window glass breakage).







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove outer window cavity cover strip
- Remove front door trim panel







Vertical dimension:
Raise the side window.
Close front door.
Determine dimension (A) with special tool 51 0 342 between flange (1) and

A Vertical dimension: 10.7 mm ± 0.8 mm
Inner flange edge (1) facing side window (2) in area of B-column.







Adjusting vertical dimension:
- Use special tool 51 0 400 to insert adjusting bolts (1), release nut (2).
Tightening torque 51 33 6AZ.

- Turn screw (1) to adjust dimension and lock with nut (2). Check dimension.
If necessary, repeat work steps.
