72 12 000 Removing and installing or replacing airbag module on front passenger side







WARNING:
Read and comply with safety instructions for handling airbag modules and pyrotechnical belt tensioners.
Incorrect handling can activate airbag and cause injury.







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect negative battery cable
- Remove glove box







Release screws (1).
Remove dashboard holder (1).
Unlock plug connection (3) and disconnect.







NOTE: Shown here with the dashboard removed for the sake of clarity.

Release screws.
Tightening torque 72 12 01AZ.
Remove airbag module from dashboard and feed out through instrument holder.
