63 31 ... Removing And Installing/Replacing Front Left Or Right Top Door Trip Panel Fibre Optic Conductor







Special tools required:
- 64 1 020







WARNING: Fibre optic conductors are sensitive (risk of damage). Always handle carefully.







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove front door trim panel
- Work station with cleaner working surface







Top fibre optic conductor below decorative strip
Use special tool 64 1 020 to unclip fibre optic conductor (2) from door trim panel (1) at the fastening clips (3) with light rotating movement.

Installation:
Make sure fibre optic conductor (1) correctly locks at fastening clips (3).







A. Pull LED-module (1) out of bracket (2).
B. Carefully pull LED-module (1) from fibre optic conductor (2).

Installation:
LED-module (1) must lock into position (light distribution).







Feed fibre optic conductor (1) out of door trim panel (2) in direction of arrow and remove.







Installation:
Check fibre optic conductor (1) for damage (scratches or cracks), replace if necessary.
