51 16 163 Removing And Installing/Replacing Rear Centre Console Trim
Special tools required:
- 00 9 325
When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.
Move front seat forward.
Pull top trim panel (1) back and unclamp it on the left and right.
Installation:
Replace defective clamps (3)
Remove floor panel (2) from the bottom storage compartment.
Installation:
Correctly lock floor panel (rubber nipple).
Carefully, lever out lower cover (1) in the centre with special tool 00 9 325 in order to disengage the retention hooks (see mark) on the side.
Installation:
Slightly bend cover (1) and first run in lower retention hooks.
Upper retention hoods can be run in more easily if cover (1) is lightly pressed up from below.
Make sure catches (1) are correctly seated.
Disconnect plug connections (1) from charging sockets and set aside cover (2).
For basic version:
Release screws (1).
Installation:
Make sure storage compartment is correctly adjusted.
For rear seat entertainment system:
Release screws (1).
Release left and right screws (1).
Pull rear centre console cover (2) back slightly and if necessary disconnect additional plug connections.
Remove rear centre console trim panel (2).
