51 13 396 Removing And Installing/Replacing Door Post Trim (Outside B-Pillar)







Precondition:
- Front side window correctly adjusted.
- Rear side window correctly adjusted.







Open both doors
Raise cover plate (1) in bottom area, unclip hooks (2), and pull out fittings (3) in downward direction.







Release screws (1) on centre trim (2).
Tightening torque: 51 33 5AZ







Release B-pillar trim (3) from underneath from dual-look tape (4). Pull down out of clip (1) and guide (2).







Installation:
Visually inspect parallelism of trim (2) with respect to front and rear door window (1).

Dimesions of trim (2) with respect to door window (2):
A = 8 ± 1.3 mm
B = 8 ± 0.8 mm
Measuring point approx. 50 mm beneath roof strip (3)







After adjustment, tighten screw (1).
Press dual-look tape (4) onto trim (3)
Latch. Tighten screw (2).
