CBS Scopes of Maintenance Work
The following scopes of maintenance are available in E60 vehicles from the start of series production:
Service Intervals:
Flexible: Individual operating conditions influence the length of the service interval.
Fixed: Operating conditions do not influence the service interval.
Country-Specific: The value is specified by legislation in the country concerned.
Reference:
Depending on the time or distance reference of the wearing part, the service deadline is displayed either as a target deadline or a remaining distance.
Hidden Function:
Progression of the service life which is independent of use it included when determining the remaining distance. The CBS item is replaced at the latest appropriate time interval.
Time Reference:
The reference time for determining the escalation levels ("red", "yellow", "green") for items with time reference in the E60 is the on-board date:
- The on-board date stops when the battery is flat or disconnected and must then be corrected in the vehicle.
- The on-board date must be correct before the CBS items are reset.
- The on-board date influences the sorting of CBS items in the vehicle.
