Fault text
Oil-pressure regulating valve, mechanical: sticks in fully
energized position (minimum oil pressure)

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the oil pressure.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the oil pressure remains at
maximum level despite targeted application of voltage to the
solenoid valve.
Potential problem source(s):
- Oil pressure control valve defective
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
- Onboard electrical system voltage between 9 V and 16 V
Temperature condition:
- Engine warmed to normal temp, above 80 °C
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- Engine ON

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory
immediately.

Action in service
- Replace oil pressure control valve

Fault effect and breakdown warning
Breakdown notice:
- Engine damage possible. Switch off engine, continued
driving is not possible.
Possible apparent symptoms:
- none
