Absolute pressure sensor, intake pipe, electrical: Short
circuit to earth

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the intake-manifold
pressure sensor's lower voltage limit.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the voltage of the intake-
manifold pressure sensor is less than 0.2 V.
Potential problem source(s):
- Defect in wiring harness between DME and Intake-
manifold pressure sensor
- Intake-manifold pressure sensor defective
- Defective DME
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
- Onboard electrical system voltage between 9 V and 16 V
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- none

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory
immediately.

Action in service
- Check wiring harness between intake-manifold pressure
sensor and DME
- Replace intake-manifold pressure sensor
- Replace DME
