Quarter Window Regulator: Service and Repair

51 37 000 - Removing and installing/replacing complete rear left or right power window unit





Warning!
Risk of injury!
Power window unit has no anti-trapping mechanism.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove lower section of side trim at rear Removing and Installing/Replacing Rear Left or Right Lower Side Trim Section
- Remove outer window cavity cover strip Service and Repair
- Remove inner window cavity cover strip 51 37 265 Removing and Installing/Replacing Window Cavity Cover Strip For Door Window, Rear Left or Right





Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 51 37 4AZ Specifications.
Release or feed out cable holders (2) and remove connecting bracket (3) towards top.





Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 51 37 3AZ Specifications.





Release trim (1) from catches (2) and remove.
Carefully feed out power window unit (3) in upward direction.
Disconnect associated plug connection and remove complete power window unit (3).

Installation Note:
Ensure trim (1) is correctly seated.





Replacement:
- Modify rear side window 51 37 171 Replacing Rear Left or Right Side Window
- Modify flat motor for power window unit Service and Repair
