63 21 180 Removing And Installing/replacing Left Or Right Rear Light







IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection).







Necessary preliminary work:
- Partially remove luggage compartment wheel arch panel







Release nuts (1, 3, 5), gripping the threaded bolt (2) with a suitable tool in so doing. Tightening torque 63 21 1AZ.

Remove rear light (6) in outward direction from rear light housing (4).

Installation note:
- Observe tightening sequence:
1. Tighten nut (1)
2. Tighten nut (3)
3. Tighten nut (5)

- Ensure fitting of sealing washers on outer threaded bolts (2) between rear light (6) and rear light housing (4)
- Make sure sealing frame for rear light is correctly seated on rear light (6)
- Make sure gap (outer) is uniform all round between rear light (6) and side panel.
