65 20 055 - Removing and installing/replacing aerial base





Special tools required:





Important!
Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection) 61 35 ... Notes on ESD Protection (Electro Static Discharge)!





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Unscrew aerial rod 65 20 050 Removing and Installing/Replacing Aerial Rod
- Remove luggage compartment wheel arch trim on left.





Lever off cap (1) with special tool 00 9 317.

Installation Note:
Make sure cap (1) is correctly seated.





Release plastic nut (1).

Remove rod aerial cover (2) and feed out aerial base (3) towards bottom.





Disconnect plug connections (1) and remove aerial base (2).





Important!
Risk of damage by water ingress!

Make sure seal (1) is correctly seated in side section (2).





Installation Note:
Make sure individual parts are installed in correct sequence.

1. Aerial base
2. Lock washer
3. Seal
4. Rod aerial cover
5. Plastic nut
