Fuel low-pressure sensor, electrical: Short to earth

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the lower voltage limit of
the low-pressure sensor.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the voltage of the low-pressure
sensor is < 0.3 V.
Potential problem source(s):
- Wiring harness between DME and low-pressure sensor
- Defect in low-pressure sensor
- Defective DME
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
- Onboard electrical system voltage between 9 V and 16 V
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- none

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory
immediately.

Action in service
- Check wiring harness between DME and low-pressure
sensor
- Replace low-pressure sensor
- Replace DME
