17 51 000 Removing and Installing/Replacing Charge Air Cooler (N20, N54, N54T)







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove front underbody protection.







IMPORTANT:
Coat sealing rings of snap fasteners with lubricant.
Pressure pipes cannot be fitted without lubricant.







If fitted:
Release screws (1).
Remove cover (2).







Unlock charge air hoses (1) and remove.
Unfasten screws (2).
Tightening torque 17 10 3AZ.
Remove charge air cooler (3) towards bottom.

Installation note:
Charge air hoses must audibly snap into place.
Coat sealing rings of charge air hoses with lubricant.
Pressure pipes cannot be fitted without lubricant.







Check charge air system for leaks.
Assemble engine.
