32 41 311 Replacing intake pipe for hydraulic steering (N63/S63)





Warning!
Danger of poisoning if oil is ingested/absorbed through the skin!
Danger of injury if oil comes into contact with eyes and skin!

Important!
Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.
Close off pipe connections with seal plugs.





Recycling:
Catch and dispose of hydraulic fluid in a suitable collecting vessel.





Necessary preliminary work:
^ Draw off and dispose of hydraulic fluid from oil reservoir
^ Remove front underbody protection
^ Remove oil reservoir





Unlock intake pipe (1) on oil reservoir (2) and detach in direction of arrow.





Expose intake pipe up to connection on vane pump.





Unfasten hose clamp (2).

Detach intake pipe (1) from vane pump.

Installation Note:
Replace hose clamp (1).

Identification (P) of intake pipe and bridge (3) on vane pump connections serve as an approximate guide to alignment.

Make sure hydraulic line is laid without tension and with sufficient spacing to adjoining components.





After installation:
^ Fill and bleed hydraulic system
^ Check pipe connections for leaks
