61 25 900 Disconnect High-Voltage System From Power







WARNING: High-voltage system - danger to life.







WARNING:
The following points must be strictly observed prior to starting work:
- Observe safety information for handling with hybrid cars







Necessary preliminary tasks:
Detach and remove storage shelf.

Fold luggage compartment floor panel upwards.







Fold clip (1) of high-voltage safety connector (2) upward.







Slide high-voltage safety connector (1) up to limit position in direction of arrow.

NOTE: Screw must be visible in opening (2).







Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 61 25 1AZ.
Remove high-voltage safety connector upwards.







Secure high-voltage safety connector (1) upside down (fuse (2) facing upward) on high voltage accumulator.

WARNING: Secure high-voltage safety connector with a padlock (3) to prevent it from being switched back on inadvertently.







WARNING:
Mandatory steps prior to carrying out further repair work:
- Ensure instrument panel is disconnected from power supply (zero voltage)
- Pay attention to active high-voltage warnings (indicator light, check control, etc.), determine cause and correct problem.

WARNING: Danger to life.

It is impermissible to begin work if zero voltage cannot be clearly detected in the instrument panel or via the diagnostic interface. Danger to life.
Before work begins, a qualified, certified electrician must verify that the system has been disconnected from the power supply (1000 VAC) using appropriate measuring devices and procedures.
In this case, Technical Support must be contacted.
