17 13 020 - Removing and installing/replacing intercooler expansion tank (N63)





Important!
Danger of scalding!
Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Follow instructions for working 17 00 ... Instructions For Working on Cooling System on cooling system.
- Drain intercooler coolant from expansion tank.
- Remove fan cowl Service and Repair.





Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 17 10 2AZ [1][2]17 00 Coolant System Components.
Release coolant hoses (2) from expansion tank (3) and detach.

Installation Note:
Replace faulty clamps.
Remove expansion tank (3).





Assemble engine.
After completing work, fill intercooler with coolant.
Vent cooling system for intercooler Procedures.
Check cooling system for leaks.
