51 11 156 Removing And Installing Front Bumper Trim







Graphics are only an example (The graphics used are from X6 3,0 i).







Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove rear reflector in front

Not in M models:
- Partially release front wheel arch cover







NOTE: The repair work is described on the left side; proceed in the same way for the right side.

Release screws (1).







NOTE: The repair work is described on the left side; proceed in the same way for the right side.

Only in M models:
Release screw (1) at bottom of lower wheel arch cover (2).

Release screws (1) on wheel arch cover (2).

Installation note:
Make sure wheel arch cover (2) is in correct position.







Release screws (1).







M models:
Release screws (1).
Release 3 screws (1) each on left right.







Unclip bumper trim (1) with a 2nd person helping towards front from latch mechanism (2).

IMPORTANT: Do not damage bumper trim when pulling off.







A second person holds the bumper trim while:
Plug connections for fog lights in area (2) and for Park Distance Control (PDC) in area (3) will be disconnected.
If necessary, disconnect the plug connection Side View camera left and right.
Remove bumper trim (1) towards front with aid of a 2nd person.

Installation note:
Height adjustment, refer to Gap dimensions, body.
