65 12 240 Removing And Installing/Replacing Digital Radio (IBOC) (US Version Only)







IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD protection).







NOTE: Follow instructions for handling optical fibres.







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- E72: Disconnect both battery earth cables
- Clamp off battery negative lead
- Remove luggage compartment trim panel on left side wall
- If necessary, remove satellite radio







Release screws (1).
Disconnect plug connections (2) and remove digital radio (3) from holder (4).







Replacement:
Remove aerial/antenna splitter.







Replacement:
Carry out vehicle programming/encoding.
