54 10 ... Notes on cleaning the guide rail panorama glass roof in the removed state







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove complete panorama glass roof
- Remove glass slide/tilt sunroof cover at front
- Remove glass slide/tilt sunroof cover at rear
- Remove front water gutter
- Remove drive with gearbox at front
- Remove mechanism of glass slide/tilt sunroof cover at front
- Only E91: Remove rear cross member







To clean the guide rails, use cleaning kit with part number 54 10 7 306 684.







Use cleaning cloth to clean sliding surfaces and springs of wind deflector control carriage (1).
Afterwards reapply grease to springs and sliding surfaces.







Unhook clasp (1) from spring carriage (2).
Slide spring carriage (2) forward.
Clean sliding surfaces with cleaning cloth.
Reapply grease to sliding surfaces.

Installation note:
Slide spring carriage (2) back until it engages.







Clean rear bottom gate with the cleaning cloth in the marked area and then reapply grease.







Insert cleaning cloth (2) in guide rail as illustrated.
Place cleaning tool (1) on cloth (2) and screw-in in direction of arrow.







Pull cleaning kit (1) and (2) from front to rear through guide rail.
Remove dirt contamination from end of guide rail.
Reapply grease to guide rail.







After installation:
Initialise panorama glass roof.
