12 51 100 Replacing Wiring Harness Section For Ignition Coil

12 51 100 - Replacing wiring harness section for ignition coil (N62TU)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Switch off ignition
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
- Disconnect battery negative lead 61 20 900 Disconnecting and Connecting Battery Negative Lead
- Remove microfilter housing 64 31 081 Removing and Installing/Replacing Microfilter Housing
- Remove intake hose Service and Repair
- Remove intake filter housing Service and Repair





Release screws and remove holder (1).
Pull ignition coil covers (2) out of rubber grommets.





Release screws and remove grounding cable.
Tightening torque 12 42 8AZ 12 42 Starter Cable.
Observe routing of suppression line 12 .. ... Removing and Installing Engine Compartment Suppression Lines (Grounding Cables).










Note:
Now clear the fault memory.
