12 14 512 - Replacing pulse generator on left exhaust camshaft (N62TU)

(cylinder bank 5 to 8)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove intake filter housing Service and Repair





Release screws and remove holder (1).
Remove left ignition coil cover (2).





Release plug connector (1) and pull off.





Release screw.
Remove pulse generator (2).

Installation Note:
Replace sealing ring and coat with antiseize agent.





Note:
Now clear the fault memory.
