Removing and Installing/Replacing Right Exhaust Manifold

18 40 020 - Removing and installing/replacing right exhaust manifold (N62TU)





Warning!
Scalding hazard!
Only perform these tasks on an engine that has cooled down.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove exhaust system 18 00 020 Removing and Installing Complete Exhaust System.
- Remove right control sensor 11 78 533 Replacing Right Control Sensor
- Remove right monitor sensor 11 78 543 Replacing Right Monitor Sensor
- Remove right engine support arm Replacing Right Engine Support Arm





For purposes of clarity, illustration shows and description refers to the removed engine.
Unscrew nuts.
Remove exhaust manifold downwards.





Installation Note:
Replace seals.
Seal beads faces the exhaust manifold.
Coat threads with copper paste.
Replace nuts.
Tightening torque, 18 40 1AZ 18 20 Exhaust System Suspension.
