Removing and Installing/Replacing Left Exhaust Manifold

18 40 010 - Removing and installing/replacing left exhaust manifold (N62TU)






Warning!
Scalding hazard!
Only perform these tasks on an engine that has cooled down.






Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove exhaust system 18 00 020 Removing and Installing Complete Exhaust System
- Remove left control sensor 11 78 530 Replacing Left Control Sensor
- Remove left monitor sensor 11 78 540 Replacing Left Monitor Sensor
- Remove left engine support arm Replacing Left Engine Support Arm






For purposes of clarity, illustration shows and description refers to the removed engine.
Unscrew nuts.
Remove exhaust manifold downwards.






Installation Note:
Replace seals.
Seal beads faces the exhaust manifold.
Coat threads with copper paste.
Replace nuts.
Tightening torque 18 40 1AZ 18 20 Exhaust System Suspension
