12 42 510 - Replacing battery positive lead (between starter and jump-start connection point) (M57T2)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory
- Switch off ignition
- Disconnect battery 61 20 900 Disconnecting and Connecting Battery Negative Lead

Note:

Slacken nut (1).

Installation:
Tightening torque 12 52 6AZ [1][2]Power and Ground Distribution.

Disconnect battery positive lead (2) from starter motor.





Unclip battery positive lead (1) from holder (2).
Fold cover (4) downwards.
Unscrew nut (3).

Installation:
Tightening torque 12 52 7AZ [1][2]Power and Ground Distribution.

Detach battery positive lead (1) from jump start connection point and remove





Note:
- Add final details to vehicle
- Check stored faults
- Clear fault memory
