Glow Plug: Testing and Inspection

12 23 000 - Checking all glow elements (M57TU / M47TU / M47T2 / M57T2)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read fault memory of DDE control unit





Warning!
Do not operate glow plugs when removed! It is not possible to ensure that heat will dissipate correctly from glow elements! Danger of injury and fire!





Important!
Do not carry out any current measurements at the quick-start glow plugs (risk of damage).





Connect diagnosis system and carry out check on glow plugs.
Replace faulty glow plugs Service and Repair.
Assemble engine.
Check function of DDE.
