16 19 030 Removing And Installing/Replacing Filler Pipe With Filler Neck For Passive Reservoir







IMPORTANT:
Ensure adequate ventilation in the workbay.
Avoid skin contact (wear gloves).
Avoid eye contact (safety goggles).
Urea/water mixture can escape when components carrying urea/water mixture are released. Have a collecting vessel ready.
Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.







IMPORTANT:
Maintain conditions of absolute cleanliness.
Connections and covers of lines carrying urea/water mixture must be cleaned thoroughly with water after each removal or before each installation.
Thoroughly clean the working area with water after repair work.
Use fluff-free cloths for cleaning (see ETP Electronic Parts Catalogue WAYPALL L20 cleaning cloths).
Close connections and lines.
Thoroughly clean special tool with water after each use.







Necessary preliminary work:
- Draw off urea/water mixture from passive reservoir
- Remove intake filter housing
- Remove rear underbody protection
- Remove left cover







Release screws (1).

IMPORTANT: Do not allow fuel filter to hang from lines.

Take off holder (3).
Remove fuel filter (2).







Release screws (1).
Remove fuel filter holder (3) and unclip lines (2).







IMPORTANT:
Urea/water mixture can escape.
Have a drip tray ready.

Detach ventilation line (1).

Installation note:
Check by pulling correct engagement of ventilation line (1).
Release hose clamp (2) and detach filler hose.

Installation note:
Replace hose clamp.
Tightening torque 16 19 9AZ.
Unclip filler hose and ventilation line along their routing from holders (3).

IMPORTANT: To prevent short-circuiting, cover battery positive lead (3).







Release screw (1).
Slide filler pipe with filler connection (2) in direction of arrow from oil filter housing and feed out in upward direction.
