32 41 311 - Replacing suction line for power steering (M57T2)

Important!
Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.
Close off pipe connections with plugs.
Recycling:
Catch and dispose of hydraulic fluid in a suitable container.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Draw off and dispose of hydraulic fluid from fluid reservoir
- Remove front underbody protection Removing and Installing / Replacing Front Assembly Underside Protection
- Remove oil reservoir Service and Repair
Expose suction line up to connection on vane pump.
Unfasten hose clip (1).
Detach suction line (2) from vane pump.
Installation Note:
When installing the suction line, make sure it is laid without tension and there is a sufficient gap to the adjacent components.
Identification (P) of suction line (2) and rib (3) of vane pump serve as an approximate guide to alignment.
After installation:
- Fill and bleed hydraulic system 32 13 006 Bleeding Power Steering Unit
- Check pipe connections for leaks
