Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

18 40 040 Removing and installing, sealing or replacing exhaust manifold (M57T2top)





Warning!
Scalding hazard!
Only perform these tasks on an engine that has cooled down.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
^ Remove exhaust turbocharger

Release screws along lines (1).





Installation:
Replace nuts.

Replace all seals.

Tightening torque 11 62 1AZ.

Tightening sequence from inside to outside!





Reassemble the vehicle.

Check exhaust system for leaks.
