Replacing Right Engine Support Arm

22 11 100 - Replacing right engine support arm (M57T2)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Secure engine Securing Engine In Installation Position in installation position
- Remove reinforcement plate Service and Repair
- On vehicles with low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation, release EGR cooler from diesel particulate filter
- Remove heat shields
- Remove right steering cover





Release screw on turbocharger flange.
Tightening torque 18 32 1AZ 18 32 Catalytic Exhaust-Gas Converter.
Remove V-clamp (1).

Installation:
V-clamp must be replaced each time it is opened.
Replace seal.





Release bolts for diesel particulate filter (1).

Installation:
Tightening torque 18 20 2AZ 18 20 Exhaust System Suspension.

Release bracket screws (2).

Installation:
Tightening torque 18 20 3AZ 18 20 Exhaust System Suspension.





Turn diesel particulate filter until engine support arm screw becomes visible.
Release bolts on engine support arm.
Tightening torque 22 11 3AZ Specifications.





Detach vacuum hose (1) from engine mount.





Release bolts (1).
Remove engine mount.
Tightening torque 22 11 1AZ Specifications.





Remove engine support arm.





Installation:
Holes (1) in engine mount must point to middle of vehicle.
