Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
none

Condition for fault memory entry
Filtered control deviation > K_VAN_XD_FILT_ED

Action in service
1. Delete DTCs from error memory, VANOS system test
2. Check valves, check adjuster

Fault effect and breakdown warning
Error display in instrument / power reduction / engine speed
governed to 7000 rpm / MIL on after engine runs 2x
