Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
Communications and CAN OK
Terminal condition: Terminal 87
Voltage condition:
none
Condition for fault memory entry
Actuator reports regulator error
Action in service
1. Delete stored DTCs from error memory, carry out
electromotive throttle-valve actuator system test
2. Check plugs and wiring harness at throttle-valve sensor 1
and electromotive throttle-valve actuator 1
3. Replace throttle-valve sensor 1 or Bank 1 electromotive
throttle-valve actuator
4. With UMWB engine protection, check throttle valve
assembly for stiction and resistance to motion
Fault effect and breakdown warning
Engine speed limitation displayed / Check Control message /
power reduction / MIL comes on after engine runs 2x
