33 33 091 Replace both rubber mounts for the rear axle support (M3, M Coupe front left and right)

Special tools required:







NOTE: In M3 and M Coupe, the front rubber mounts must be pulled into the rear axle support from the top.







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove complete rear axle carrier.







If necessary assemble special tools 33 4 140, 33 4 142 and 33 4 147 as illustrated.
If applicable, screw on new synchronizing keys 33 4 149 with sunk screws to the special tool 33 4 140.







Oil special tool 33 4 436 lightly before use.
Using the special tools 33 4 436, 33 4 437, 33 4 140 and 33 4 431, pull rubber mount out of bearing bush.

NOTE:
Please ensure correct support of the special tool 33 4 140 on the bearing bush of the rear axle support.
Place the special tool 33 4 431 on the rubber mount so that the edge of the rubber mount disappears into it.







IMPORTANT:
The arrows (1) must point towards the longitudinal axis.
The opening (2) on the bottom side must face towards the left.







Installation note:
Coat new rubber mount with Circo Light (sourcing reference BMW Parts Department).
Oil special tool 33 4 434 lightly before use.
Pull in new rubber mount to the limit position using the special tool 33 4 432, 33 4 433, 33 4 435 and 33 4 434.







After installation:
- Bleed brake system.
