Fault description
Fuel mixture adaptation, upper engine speed range

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
Engine warm, upper load and engine-speed range (>3000
rpm), steady-state operation
Potential problem source(s):
Terminal condition: - None
Voltage condition:
- Onboard electrical system voltage between 9 V and 16 V
Temperature condition:
- Engine warmed to normal temp, above 80 °C
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- None

Condition for fault memory entry
The diagnostic routine runs only during lambda adaptation.
If a defect arises a diagnostic fault code is logged within
approximately 60 sec.

Action in service
Check injectors on Bank 1. Check induction system for
leaks.

Fault effect and breakdown warning
None
If a defect is present the mixture-control diagnostic fault
code 2DE0 will usually also be logged, and this, in turn, will
trigger the MIL.
