Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the speed signal.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when no speed signal is received.
Potential problem source(s):
- E7X: DSC fails to transmit a speed signal, or defect in
wiring harness between DME and DSC
- F01: ICM fails to transmit a speed signal
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- Electrical system voltage > 10 V
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- 100 ms.
Other conditions:
- none

Condition for fault memory entry
The fault is logged in the fault memory if it remains
continuously present for longer than 5 sec.

Action in service
- Process fault for wheelspeed sensors

Fault effect and breakdown warning
Breakdown notice:
- none
Possible apparent symptoms:
- When malfunction occurs the vehicle may not have a
speedometer signal
