Fault text
Fuel-supply control valve, activation: short circuit to ground

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the flow-control valve's
PWM control signal's upper lower value.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the PWM signal at the flow-
control valve is < 1.5 %.
Potential problem source(s):
- Signal wire is shorted to ground
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
- Electrical system voltage > 10 V
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- none

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory if
it remains present for longer than 0.5 sec.

Action in service
- Check wiring harness to flow-control valve in the high-
pressure pump
- Replace high-pressure pump
